King street is lined with antique shops, national clothing stores, and unique gift shops. The city market area is a 1/2 block away, with shops and the open air market where local vendors display their goods. There are many attractions within a short walk from the inn. Many historis sites and homes line the streets close by. Enjoy South Carolinas Aquarium and IMAX theatre. Take an afternoon stroll on a horse and buggy ride tour or enjoy one of the many other walking and bus tours available. There are several spas close by and our concierge staff would be happy to assist you with any arrangements. We also can arrange in-room massages. The inn offers complimentary passes to the local Christian Family "Y". The facility is located approximately 4 blocks from the inn. |

I-26 to inn: Exit interstate at last exit(Meeting St). Turn right on Meeting and follow approxiamtely 1 mile to Wentworth St. Make a right on Wenworth and then a left on King St. Turn left at first light (Market St) and parking lot is half way down the block on the right. 17 North to inn: Travel on 17 into Charleston limits and across Ashley River Bridge into town. Stay in right lane on bridge and take Lockwood Blvd. exit. Keep right and travel on past the traffic light for Calhoun St. Take your 3rd left onto Beaufain Street. Just past the 3rd traffic light, bear right and you are now on Market St. Cros over King St. and halfway down the block on right is the entrance to the Market/Horlbeck parking lot. 17 South to inn: Cross over the Cooper River Bridge into town. Take KIng St. exit to left(just before stoplight) At stop sign make a right onto King St. At the 10th stoplight turn left onto Market St. Halfway down the block on the right is the entrance to the Market/Horlbeck Parking lot. From the airport there are shuttle vans and taxis offering service downtown. There are car rental facilties at the airport as well. If you need transportation within the city there are several options. Taxi, bus, and trolley service is available within the city. Depending upon time of year there is also a rickshaw service in the late afternoon and evening hours. There is a parking lot located directly behind the hotel at a cost of $10 per evening. The price includes unlimited in and out access. Located approximately 1 mile from the inn(on Meeting St) is the Charleston Area Visitors Bureau. There you can find literature and information on the Charleston area. Charleston has seasonal weather. Winter: Temperatures range from 30's at night to 60's during the day. Spring: Temperatures range from 50's at night to 80's during the day. A spring time shower is possible. Summer: Temperatures range from 60's at night to 90's during the day. Humidity between 80-100% and afternnon thundersorm is common. Fall: Temperatures range from 50's at night to 70's during the day. |
