DIRECTIONS TO WOODSHOLE: From Boston take Route 93 south to Route 3 south towards Cape Cod. Before crossing the Sagamore Bridge, take the first right at the Sagamore rotary onto Route 6, towards Bourne/Bourne Bridge. Route 6 takes you along the Cape Cod Canal toward the Bourne Bridge. From New York take Interstate 95 North towards Providence, Rhode Island. At Providence, take Interstate 195 east towards Fall River, MA and New Bedford, MA. Continue on I195 for approximately 45 miles. Take Exit #22A, marked State Route 25 east towards Cape Cod and the Islands. Then: At this point you are approximately 10 miles from the Bourne Bridge. Continue straight and cross the bridge. Once you?ve crossed the bridge, you will come to a rotary. Take the second right off the rotary onto Route 28 South towards Falmouth. As you near Falmouth, the two-lane highway turns into a one-lane street through the town. Continue through the traffic light. You will begin to see signs for the Martha?s Vineyard Steamship in Woods Hole. You will then come to a flashing yellow light. Bear right here towards Woods Hole. Continue along a winding road for approximately 4 miles. Signs mark a left-hand turn into the Ferry Terminal parking lot. Continue down the hill and stop at the registration hut. Steamship personnel will direct you from there. DIRECTIONS FROM VINEYARD HAVEN FERRY DOCK TO THE HARBOR VIEW HOTEL, EDGARTOWN: When driving off of the ferry you will head straight for just a few yards and then you will have to take a left. You pass the A&P on your right and the Black Dog Bakery on your left. Immediately after the above landmarks, there is a 5-way intersection. Turn right and stay in the left lane. Continue approximately ¼ mile, bearing slightly left and take a left onto Edgartown/Vineyard Haven Road. You will see a sign indicating Edgartown is about 7 miles. Stay on this road. It will take you into Edgartown. As you approach the village of Edgartown, you will come to a stop sign. A landmark is the Square Rigger Restaurant on your left. At this stop sign, you continue to go straight, carefully giving right of way to traffic coming from the left. Soon after this you will see the A&P super market on the left. Continue straight for approximately 1/3 mile. At the fork (Mobile Station on the left), bear left. You are now on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you come to the ?downtown" area of Edgartown. You will see The Whaling Church, The Courthouse, and many restaurants and shops. Although there is no official stop sign, there is kind of a ?natural? hesitation of traffic at the intersection of Main Street and Water Street. Take a left onto North Water Street. The Compass Bank is on the right hand corner. Follow North Water Street about 1/2 mile and you will see the Harbor View Hotel on your left. DIRECTIONS FROM OAK BLUFFS FERRY DOCK TO THE HARBOR VIEW HOTEL, EDGARTOWN: Go straight approximately 100 yards after exiting the ferry. Bear left at the media island and follow around until you come to Beach Road. Follow Beach Road approximately 4 miles. Beach Road will veer inland, away from the coast, as you come into Edgartown. Landmarks include the A&P on your left and the Dairy Queen on your right. Go straight. At the fork in the road, stay to the left. This takes you onto Main Street, Edgartown. Continue on Main Street until you come to the ?downtown" area of Edgartown. You will see The Whaling Church, The Courthouse, and many restaurants and shops.
